Soul Nation Events (SNE) – Who We Are

Criteria for all staff positions

#8 – Must particpate in SNE sponsored activites and motivate others to do so.
#9 – Healthy ability to follow directions given by SNE management teams.

Check In Coordinator (CIC)* – Entry Level Volunteer Position

Check In Coordinators’ (formerly tour guide) primary responsibility is to verify guests are boarding the correct motorcoach to the correct hotel. To help perform your duties, we provide you with the guest manifest via email, hotel general directions, and itinerary. To further prepare you to travel on SNE events, all you need to do is attend our training, purchase a staff uniform, be at least 21 years old, and ready to meet and mingle! You enjoy for FREE all of the parties and concerts by assisting Tour Managers with hotel events.  

Responsibilities for CIC’s: Verify guests are boarding correct bus to/from each location.
Assist SNE managment teams with guest activities & events.
Assist guests during transportation as a liaison for SNE. 
This is a position of service.  

Qualifications for CIC’s: Uphold, sustain SNE Code of Conduct Criteria & Tour Staff Mission.
Be at least 21 years of age.  Have an accessible email address. 
Ability to print your trip paperwork.  Possess a functional cell phone.

Activity Director (AD) – Seasonal Paid Position
Activity Director works closely with Tour Director to assist in fulfilling  operational, logistical aspects of the event.  The AD is the number two person in command with main concentration on execution of the event itinerary. Prep ahead of time, necessary weekend management materials to implement all on-site and off-site activities.  Besides running SNE standard activities the AD will also cultivate local activities to enhance the itinerary and guest experience.

Responsibilities for AD’s: Effectively delegate to and manage SNE tour staff.

Be the event facilitator at each SNE activity (or delegate).
Plan and implement entertainment such as games, contests, etc.
Operate and control all functions of the Activities Desk.
Account for all cash transactions and accounting documentation.
Make available all the activities including at the hotel and off premises.
Be knowledgeable to answer questions on any of the available activities.
Coordinate with SNE Photographer to take pics at photo op times
Ensure that DJ is performing host activities and required announcements .

Qualifications for AD’s:

Meet all CIC qualifications, responsibilites and knowledge of CIC procedures for events.
Must be an effective manager and able to process simple accounting paperwork.
Possess strong delegation skills, ability to multi-task and quick decision making.
Enjoy being the host of activities, contests and events.  Like to decorate for parties.

Tour Director (TD) – Seasonal Paid Position
Tour Director is the lead SNE site representative responsible to fulfill all operational, logistical aspects of the event. The TD is responsible for the primary feedback link to SNE home office.  TD works along side the AD as a management team to run an event site according to guest itinerary.  Prep ahead of time, necessary weekend management materials acquired from SNE to be familiarized with every detail of guest expectations and special conditions.

Responsibilities for TD’s: Effectively delegate to and manage SNE tour staff.

Run enhanced experience based itinerary.  Maintain tour paperwork.
Make sure that suppliers and SNE staff are meeting guest expectations.
Ensure that tour staff is in uniform.  Personally meet every organizer.
Be our primary PR person.  Generate new organizer and tour staff leads.
Diffuse problems when they arise.  Implement efficient on-site marketing.

Meet all CIC qualifications, responsibilites and knowledge of CIC procedures for events.  Must be an effective manager and able to process simple accounting paperwork.  Possess strong delegation skills, ability to multi-task and quick decision making.  Thrives being the lead person in charge.  Comfortable with receiving criticism.
